Overview

Accommodation is provided at Trethorne Golf & Country Club, Set just across the Devon border into Cornwall. Trethorne offers a top quality 18 hole golf course set amongst the picturesque Cornwall countryside with easy access to main road links. All packages include a 3-course dinner, breakfast and unlimited golf. The club is very well known for its friendly and relaxed hospitality, offering good quality home-cooked food in a comfortable and welcoming clubhouse. The large restaurant and outside BBQ terrace make this an ideal location for larger groups. This package is great for those who enjoy to play all their golf on site but also perfect to explore a collection of excellent Cornwall and Devon courses including Launceston, Tavistock, Bowood Park, Bude, Holsworthy and Okehampton.
Launceston Town centre is a short distance from your accommodation where you can find a number of bars and restaurants to enjoy for those who like to venture out in the evening.
Courses
Trethorne
Trethorne Golf Club offers a par 71, parkland golf course with beautiful views across the Cornish Countryside. This challenging golf course measures at 6301 yards and features an array of water hazards, bunkers and tree lined fairways to put you to the test. This is a great golf course suitable for all levels of golfer.
Launceston
This course from its elevated levels of the course offers spectacular countryside views over both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, with majestic views of our historic town and castle. The course is a well established 6385 yard par 70 parkland course designed by Hamilton Stutt. It offers an excellent and challenging round of golf for all standards of golfers and has hosted the county championship on several occasions.
Holsworthy
Situated in the heart of Ruby Country in North Devon, Holsworthy Golf Course offers stunning scenery, the perfect setting to play golf in North Devon. This 80 year old Golf Course offers a true test to golfers of all standards. A fully licensed clubhouse and excellent catering services providing locally sourced and homemade food.
Bude
Situated in the centre of town, Bude & North Cornwall Golf Club provides 18 holes of great links golf. The natural all weather fairways and greens are rarely unplayable.
With tight lies and uneven stances on the close cropped undulating fairways and greens that have beautiful quick surfaces, with both severe and subtle borrows the course offers golfers of all levels a challenging and enjoyable experience.
Okehampton
You’ll discover this little cracker in the heart of delightful Devon, sheltered by the high tors of Dartmoor. Plotted on undulating ground, the course plays like a parkland although it actually sits on moorland. Several interesting holes will capture the imagination – not least the 12th at a mere 94 yards. But it can be devilishly deceptive if the wind is blowing and you should be aware that the West Okement river awaits to the left and behind the green. This lovely 18-hole golf course is not long at only 5273 yards for the men’s and 4817 yards for the ladies’ tees. However, this doesn't mean that it is an easy golf course.
Bowood Park
The par 72 course runs to 6,692 yards for the men, 5,700 for the ladies and is set up in a way which should maximise enjoyment for all standards of golfer - you shouldn't have to spend your holiday looking for lost balls! The well-drained greens, built to USGA standards, means the course rarely closes in inclement weather, and in winter tees and greens are in full use - no temporaries.
Tavistock
Tavistock Golf Club, situated on the western slopes of the Dartmoor National Park, an area of outstanding beauty. The golf course was established in 1890 and with continual updating and maintenance to the highest standards it offers a challenging test to golfers of all abilities. With its wide fairways and sweeping vistas the course looks deceptively simply but its offers a challenging test for the unwary golfer. Nature has provided its own hazards at Tavistock, with thick gorse and bracken, plus the odd clump of scrubby trees. There are also cunningly hidden bunkers that can trap the most proficient golfer. The Greens are regarded as some of the best in the South West.
Accommodation
Trethorne Hotel & Golf Club offers an excellent range of accommodation, with each room featuring an en-suite bathroom, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The Trethorne Hotel accommodation acts as the perfect place to rest after a tiring round on the golf course, but make sure you check out the dining facilities first. You can explore the Cornish market town of Launceston which offers over a dozen bars and restaurants, a nightclub and shopping centre. Furthermore, The Eden Project is just 30 minutes away and the beauty of the North and South coast are only half an hour away.
